JST SAKURA Exchange Program in Science
Program Purpose: The youth of Asia and Japan will be the driving force behind future scientific and technological developments. This program provides the resources to promote and support interest in the sciences. The Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science (SAKURA Exchange Program in Science) aims to enhance the exchange between Asia and Japan. The program strives to accomplish this exchange by facilitating short-term visits for promising Asian students to Japan. These young researchers are the future of science and will form the foundation of industry-academia-government collaboration. The program ultimately aims to promote science and technology research at Japanese universities, research institutes, and private companies across Asia.
